The story behind the name
The firm is named after Évariste Galois, a young and largely self-taught French mathematician who, before the age of twenty-one, founded what we now call group theory. Rejected by the establishment of his time and dismissed by his peers, he transcended the limits of what he was supposed to be capable of through sheer intellectual curiosity and a refusal to accept inherited boundaries.
We chose the name because it captures a posture we try to keep. Treat every problem as if there is a simpler structure underneath, and have the curiosity to look for it, whether the surface is a financial model, an operational workflow, or a tangle of unstructured data.
Don't cry, I need all my courage to die at twenty. Évariste Galois, 1832
